An independent read on UK casinos, nothing more dressed up

The idea behind Play Ledger Roomis narrow on purpose: take a handful of UK-licensed casinos, hold them to the same eight checks, and write up what we find in language a normal person can use. No spin, no countdown timers, no "claim now".

What we actually are

We're an independent comparison site funded by affiliate commission. That means we review and rank operators, and if a reader follows one of our links and later signs up, the operator may pay us a referral fee. We don't take bets, we don't hold anyone's money, and we have no part in any gameplay. The casinos do all of that; we just compare them.

We're also not the regulator. The Gambling Commission licenses and polices UK operators — we simply check that licence and report what each site is like to use.

How we keep it honest

The commercial side and the editorial side are kept apart. An operator paying more doesn't earn a softer verdict or a higher slot in the list — the order follows the criteria, which lean on the fairness of bonus terms as much as the size of a library. What we won't do

• Promise winnings, "risk-free" play or anything that treats gambling as a way to make money. It isn't.
• Invent precise bonus figures or fake user reviews to make a site look better than it is.
• List unlicensed operators. If it can't be found on the UKGC register, it isn't here.

Who it's for, and who it isn't
